Nov 2026 : Amara Raja Energy & Mobility has recently appointed Preetam Ganguly as Chief Business Officer for its Industrial division. In his new role, Ganguly will spearhead the company’s industrial battery business, driving market expansion, strategic growth, and customer excellence across critical power backup and energy segments.

Ganguly brings nearly three decades of B2B leadership experience spanning railways, defense, mining, marine, oil & gas, and industrial manufacturing. Most recently, he served as Industrial Business Leader at Cummins India. His commercial background includes leadership roles such at Wabtec Passenger Transit, Faiveley Transport, and Alstom. Earlier in his career, he spent twelve years scaling business development at Bombardier Transportation and began his journey at ABB.

A National Gold Medalist in Physics from Presidency College, Kolkata, Ganguly also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the College of Technology, Kolkata University.
