February 2026 : ARGO-HYTOS Group AG, a premier global provider of hydraulic system solutions, has recently announced a significant leadership transition. Shrikant Bairagi will officially take the helm as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective February 1, 2026. Bairagi succeeds Markus Munz, who departs the organization at the close of January.

The appointment marks a strategic promotion for Bairagi, who has been a driving force within the Group since joining in March 2018. As the Managing Director for India, he is credited with accelerating profitable growth and significantly enhancing the company’s manufacturing footprint and human capital.

Bairagi’s trajectory is defined by over 30 years of international management, including an eight-year tenure in the United States. His career began as a manufacturing engineer at Robert Bosch India, later moving to Robert Bosch North America. His leadership portfolio includes senior roles at Perfect Circle India, Mahindra Hinoday Industries, HUSCO Hydraulics, and TREMEC India. Most recently, he served as MD for ARGO-HYTOS India and CEO of Prothom Industries, while also serving as the National President of the Fluid Power Society of India.

His operational acumen is backed by a stellar academic record. A Gold Medalist in Mechanical Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and Government Polytechnic Pune, Bairagi holds an MBA from Grand Valley State University. His pursuit of excellence includes specialized certifications from Harvard Business School, the University of Michigan (Lean Manufacturing), IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Lucknow.
