July 2025 : Armacell officially inaugurated its newest manufacturing facility in Pune, India. This significant investment expands Armacell’s global footprint and marks a bold step forward in the production of its breakthrough ArmaGel® XG aerogel insulation product line.
The inauguration event welcomed leading industry professionals who engaged with Armacell’s top management, product, and technical experts. Guests toured the state-of-the-art facility and experienced the ArmaLive Experience Centre, which showcases Armacell's insulation expertise and its evolution into a global multi-material and solutions leader. Attendees gained valuable insights into how the ArmaGel® XG range in India represents a crucial step in the global expansion of aerogel insulation solutions.
The new ArmaGel XG product line manufactured in Pune is designed for a wide range of applications, including high-temperature, cryogenic, and dual-temperature conditions. Specifically, ArmaGel XGH is engineered for operating temperatures up to +650°C (+1200°F) and complies with ASTM C1728 Type III and JIP 33. For extreme cold, ArmaGel XGC is ideal for cryogenic and dual-temperature conditions between -196°C (-321ºF) and +250°C (+482ºF), compliant with ASTM C1728 Type I and Type IV. Consequently, Armacell’s global aerogel blanket manufacturing capacity has effectively doubled to meet the rapidly growing demand for these advanced insulation solutions.
