October 2025 : Bajaj Electricals announces a strategic partnership with TIH | IIT Bombay for IoT & IoE at IIT Bombay to jointly develop next-generation Smart Streetlight Control systems. This collaboration is set to revolutionize urban infrastructure with intelligent, energy-efficient lighting solutions.

The initiative combines Bajaj Electricals’ extensive market leadership in lighting with TIH's deep academic and technological expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and network communication. The goal is to create systems that significantly enhance energy efficiency and contribute to sustainable urban development.
