January 2026 : EKKI HOMA, the Indo-German powerhouse in wastewater technology, has recently announced a major leadership boost with the appointment of Mr. N. K. Ranganath as Chief Advisor. The strategic move comes as the joint venture - a collaboration between India’s EKKI Pumps and Germany’s HOMA Pumpenfabrik GmbH - rapidly scales its manufacturing presence and distribution network across the Indian subcontinent.

HOMA, globally recognized as a top-five manufacturer of sewage pumps, is intensifying its focus on the Indian market through this partnership. The inclusion of Mr. Ranganath, widely regarded as a pioneer in the sector, signals EKKI HOMA's intent to dominate the high-efficiency wastewater solution space.

N.K. Ranganath is best known for his transformative 22-year tenure as the founding Managing Director of Grundfos Pumps India. His career, spanning over 43 years, includes high-level expertise in marketing, project management, and technology transfer, with notable experience in the Middle East setting up captive power plants and transmission lines.

A Mechanical Engineer from the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy, Ranganath holds a management degree from XLRI Jamshedpur. His influence extends far beyond corporate boardrooms; he has served as the President of the Madras Management Association (MMA) and Chairman of the CII Tamil Nadu Council. Currently, he lends his expertise to the national committees on water and skills at CII and serves on the boards of several major entities, including L&T Valves and the Cognizant Foundation.
