September 2026 : Hikal Ltd. has recently announced the appointment of Sameer Hiremath as its new Chairman & Managing Director, a move formally approved by shareholders at the company’s 38th Annual General Meeting.

Hiremath, who has been an integral force at Hikal for nearly three decades, steps into the top leadership role as the life sciences giant sets its sights on broader horizons. Under his guidance, the organization aims to solidify its foundational strengths while aggressively driving expansion across key verticals, including Animal Health, Specialty Chemicals, and Personal Care.

Having joined Hikal in January 1999, Sameer Hiremath’s career spans over 27 years of hands-on expertise in technical operations, commercial strategy, and executive management within Hikal Ltd. Over his extensive tenure, he had key roles including Vice Chairman and Managing Director prior to his current elevation.

Hiremath holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Boston University.
