CHANAKYA, which stands for Comprehensive and Holistic Advancement of NAtional Knowledge Yield and Analytics, aims to identify and support breakthrough ideas in the area of Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) by UG students.

November 2021: The IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation seeks to support undergraduate students through the CHANAKYA UG Fellowships. CHANAKYA, which stands for Comprehensive and Holistic Advancement of NAtional Knowledge Yield and Analytics, aims to identify and support breakthrough ideas in the area of Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) by UG students. Ideas having potential to solve pressing and compelling problems faced by industries, PSUs, Government organizations, educational institutes, city administration and society, using concepts of CPS are sought. Ideas having high potential for patenting and licensing are encouraged.

Specific application verticals and focus areas are as follows:

1. Cyber Physical Social Systems: Blended Learning and Gamification, Smart City, Smart Farming, Smart Healthcare Systems.
2. Cyber Physical Industrial Systems: Digitalization in MSMEs, Industry 4.0/Smart manufacturing.

Solution-oriented proposals incorporating technologies such as (but not limited to) embedded systems, artificial intelligence (AI), system simulation using virtual, augmented and mixed reality, data analytics, machine learning (ML), IoT, multi-physics modelling, Human Machine Interface (HMI) are sought.

Who Can Participate?

A student registered in any UG program in India can be nominated by the respective institute/university for the fellowship.

What Are We Looking For?

Originality, novelty, inclusiveness, technical and practical feasibility, importance of the solution for the end users. Low cost solutions will also be considered.

Important Dates

Submission Deadline: December 15, 2021
Announcement of Results: December 31, 2021
Start of Fellowship: January 10, 2022
