Sept 2026 : L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited (LTSCT) and Tata Electronics have joined hands in an alliance aimed at industrializing India-designed chips for global markets.

The deal bridges two critical halves of the semiconductor ecosystem: LTSCT’s fabless innovation and Tata Electronics’ foundry and advanced packaging capabilities. Together, the duo plans to co-develop silicon solutions for automotive, industrial, communications, and intelligent-edge devices, streamlining the journey from initial circuit design to commercial-scale fabrication.

Rather than relying purely on foreign foundries, the collaboration allows LTSCT to optimize its chip architecture directly alongside Tata Electronics' manufacturing processes. This tight coupling promises faster time-to-market, improved supply chain resilience, and stricter quality control for next-generation products.
