December 2025 : The LNJ Bhilwara Group, a prominent Indian conglomerate, has recently announced a significant strategic appointment to power the future growth of its clean energy portfolio. Mr. Basant Jain has joined the Group as the Joint Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Bhilwara Energy Limited.
Mr. Jain is poised to assume leadership of the Group's crucial Greentech business and its subsidiaries. This move signals a strong intent to accelerate the company’s transition and expansion within the renewable energy sector.
With an impressive career spanning over 25 years in renewable energy, infrastructure, and clean tech, Mr. Jain is recognized as a seasoned industry veteran. His extensive experience includes holding significant leadership positions at prominent organizations such as Mahindra Susten, Hinduja Renewables, GVK, Vedanta, and Raymond. Most recently, he was successfully running his own solar venture, Aplos Ventures.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Jain spent over a decade as the Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Susten Private Limited, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a leading player in the renewable energy space, executing over 1000 MW of solar projects. His earlier experience also includes a four-year stint as Manager at Vedanta Resources. Academically, Mr. Jain holds a B.E. in Electronics from the Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior, and a PGDBA - CFA in Finance from the ICFAI Business School.
