July 2025 : thyssenkrupp Steering and L&T Technology Services (LTTS) have recently announced a strategic agreement to establish a state-of-the-art software development center in Pune, India. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies in enabling modern automotive software solutions.
The new center will leverage LTTS’ expertise in its Mobility segment, specifically dedicated to developing safety-critical software for advanced steering technologies, while simultaneously supporting thyssenkrupp Steering’s global engineering expansion. LTTS will be responsible for establishing and managing the software hub in Pune on behalf of thyssenkrupp Steering. This partnership further solidifies LTTS’ global reputation in engineering intelligent and sustainable mobility, a positioning reinforced by its recognition as a Leader in the ACES Automotive Engineering Services PEAK Matrix Assessment by Everest Group.
thyssenkrupp Steering brings extensive knowledge in new electrical/electronic (E/E) architectures and software, coupled with strong competence in steering technology. Their activities extend to forward-looking developments such as the Vehicle Motion Control system, which aims to enhance comfort, advance safety, and enable highly autonomous driving through the high-level integration of steering, brakes, drivetrain, and dampers.
