June 2026 : The Farm Division of Mahindra and Mahindra Limited has recently appointed Pandurang Chavan as the new Plant Head for its M&M FD Nagpur Plant. In this role, Chavan will oversee the comprehensive manufacturing operations of the tractor manufacturing facility. His technical mandate spans across the high-precision Tractor and Engine Assembly lines, the Paint Shop, Crankcase and Cylinder Head machining units, and the complex Transmission, Hydraulics, and Control Valve machining and assembly setups.

Stepping into the Nagpur facility marks a seamless progression for Chavan, who has dedicated over three decades to refining industrial ecosystems. He transitions into this role directly from his dual responsibility as Plant Head of the Farm Division in Kandivali and Jaipur, following a highly successful tenure as Plant Head of the Rudrapur facility.

Chavan earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Karad. He later sharpened his business leadership capabilities by completing a specialized General Management Program at the Welingkar Institute of Management.
