Dr. Singla joins the leadership team bringing over two decades of robust, interdisciplinary expertise, which spans foundational robotics, complex healthcare applications, and the implementation of digital twins. Her distinguished academic background includes earning a PhD in Robotics from IIT Kanpur, complemented by valuable international research experience gained at the prestigious Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) in Paris. This combination of deep technical knowledge and broad global exposure positions her perfectly to lead NAMTECH’s ambitious robotics program.

Before taking on this new role, Dr. Singla served as the former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar, where her innovative work resulted in significant practical contributions to the field. Specifically, she is credited with impactful advancements in modular and reconfigurable robotics, the complex design of exoskeletons, and pioneering robotic assistance systems tailored for use in vertical farming, demonstrating a consistent ability to integrate high-level innovation with immediate, real-world applications. Her commitment to the broader robotics ecosystem is further evidenced by her active role as the Secretary of The Robotics Society (TRS), where she continues to play a leading role in advancing the field through collaboration and organizational leadership.
