By establishing a direct presence, we are bringing our Engineering Intelligence platform closer to one of the world's most dynamic automotive and manufacturing R&D ecosystems. We want to help the engineers and manufacturers on the ground move from isolated AI experimentation to measurable impact across product development while giving them ownership of the intelligence driving their designs." - Pierre Baqué, CEO and Co-Founder - Neural Concept
September 2026 : Neural Concept has officially established a direct commercial presence in India. Setting up dedicated teams across Bengaluru and Pune, this expansion marks the company’s first official, physical footprint in the country.
The expansion builds on soaring regional demand from Indian manufacturers and international brands operating local engineering hubs, including global automotive supplier MAHLE. Through its Engineering Intelligence platform, Neural Concept equips engineering teams with local commercial support, hands-on training, and direct access to its global technical expertise as companies integrate AI deeper into design and simulation workflows.
Intensifying EV mandates, strict sustainability standards, and fierce pressure from Chinese OEMs are forcing India's manufacturing sector to compress R&D timelines. By embedding AI agents into product development, Neural Concept enables engineers to explore dynamic design options early and accelerate end-to-end production. To lead this rollout, industry veteran Sudhir Padaki has joined as Regional Sales Director for India, leveraging two decades of experience across the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
Commenting on the expansion, Pierre Baqué, CEO and Co-Founder at Neural Concept, said: "India is becoming a powerhouse for global engineering R&D, and Neural Concept is investing where talent, ambition and industrial scale are converging. By establishing a direct presence, we are bringing our Engineering Intelligence platform closer to one of the world's most dynamic automotive and manufacturing R&D ecosystems. We want to help the engineers and manufacturers on the ground move from isolated AI experimentation to measurable impact across product development while giving them ownership of the intelligence driving their designs."
Reinforcing this vision, Sudhir Padaki added: "Indian OEMs and engineering teams across the country are increasingly contributing to product programs with global reach, and they need partners who understand the local context. By combining strong local relationships with Neural Concept's global engineering expertise, our team will help customers onboard efficiently and deploy AI across design and simulation workflows."
Following a $100 million Series C funding round led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, this move connects Neural Concept directly with India's massive workforce of 1.5 million annual engineering graduates. Joining existing hubs in Munich, New York, and Seoul, the Bengaluru and Pune teams position Neural Concept at the heart of global manufacturing innovation.
