Nippon Paint India Appoints Mahesh Anand as Group Executive Vice President

December 2025 : Nippon Paint India has recently announced a significant strategic leadership transition, elevating Mr. Mahesh S. Anand to the role of Group Executive Vice President. The promotion marks a major milestone in his nearly two-decade-long journey with the organization, recognizing his pivotal role in transforming the company’s market presence and driving diversification.

Mr. Anand, who previously served as the President and Additional Director of Nippon Paint’s Decorative Division, has been credited with accelerating the company’s expansion and innovation strategy. Under his leadership, Nippon Paint has successfully evolved into a national brand, firmly establishing itself as one of India’s leading paint brands. He is also a champion of sustainability, holding the title of ‘IGBC Fellow’ for his outstanding contribution to the Indian Green Building Council.

Mr. Anand brings over 30 years of expertise in the paint industry, beginning his journey with Nippon in 2006 as the Regional Sales Manager for Tamil Nadu. He swiftly progressed through key positions, including Zonal Head for the Southern Region and Vice President - Southern Business operation, before taking the helm of the Decorative Division as its President. He also previously served as the Past President of the Indian Paint Association and Past Chairman of the Paints & Coatings Sector Skill Council.

Academically, Mr. Anand possesses a strong foundation, holding a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St Joseph’s College, Tiruchirapalli, and a Master’s in Business Administration with specializations in Marketing & Material Management from Madurai Kamaraj University.
