“InSolare's proven EPC track record and expertise across utility-scale solar, hybrid systems, and green hydrogen technologies are strong complements to our PEM electrolyzer technology. Together, we will deliver an integrated green hydrogen solution for NLC Limited that will accelerate India's energy transition.” - Dr. Markus Tacke, CEO - Ohmium International

May 2026 : Towards a cleaner future, the race to decarbonize India’s energy sector has just received a massive boost. Green hydrogen pioneer Ohmium International Inc. has joined hands with renewable energy solutions provider InSolare Energy to build a landmark 4 MW capacity green hydrogen project for NLC India Limited in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. Designed as a flexible, multi-application powerhouse, the new facility is expected to churn out up to 700 metric tons of clean hydrogen annually, powering everything from industrial operations and green mobility to cleaner grid power generation.

Harnessing the natural elements requires incredibly smart technology, and that is where Ohmium’s advanced Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzers come into play. Manufactured locally in India, these highly efficient, modular systems allow the project to scale up smoothly while maintaining top-tier performance. By bringing cutting-edge manufacturing directly to the field, the partnership offers NLC India - a trailblazer in expanding the country’s green energy portfolio - a secure, homegrown foundation for its aggressive carbon-neutrality goals.

Praising the synergy behind this initiative, Dr. Hemanshu Bhatt, COO and Co-Founder, InSolare Energy, said, “Ohmium's PEM technology and India-based manufacturing align with our vision for local green hydrogen production. Their highly efficient and modular solution combined with an ongoing commitment to R&D, rigorous testing, and continuous development sets them apart. Combined with local service support, Ohmium has the right technology to help us create a reliable project.”

Building out this next-generation infrastructure relies heavily on InSolare's deep experience, which boasts a massive 1.5 GW+ engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) portfolio across utility solar and wind-hybrid systems. Welcoming the joint venture, Dr. Markus Tacke, CEO, Ohmium International, said, “InSolare's proven EPC track record and expertise across utility-scale solar, hybrid systems, and green hydrogen technologies are strong complements to our PEM electrolyzer technology. Together, we will deliver an integrated green hydrogen solution for NLC Limited that will accelerate India's energy transition.”

Ultimately, this collaboration sets a powerful benchmark for scalable, localized clean energy. By seamlessly marrying Ohmium's technological innovation with InSolare’s execution grit, the project ensures that India remains firmly at the global forefront of green hydrogen deployment.
