March 2026 : In a strategic move to bolster its digital leadership, Spark Minda has recently announced the appointment of Samar Gupta as its new Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Vice President. A seasoned technology leader and recent winner of the prestigious CII Digital Transformation Award 2025, Samar steps into the role to spearhead the Group’s next phase of technological evolution.

Samar Gupta brings an elite pedigree of experience to Spark Minda, having previously served as Vice President and Head-Group IT for Anand Automotive Group and SUJAN Hospitality. His professional journey is marked by tenures at global Fortune 500 giants, including Microsoft, Flex, and Stryker, as well as leadership roles at Actis, Wipro, Capgemini, and Concentrix. At Spark Minda, he will be responsible for aligning IT strategy with business growth, fostering a data-driven culture, and benchmarking the IT function as an industry standard.

His academic credentials are as diverse as his professional background. He is currently a PhD scholar at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. His educational foundation includes an MBA from MDI Gurgaon, an MS from Oklahoma State University, and a BE from Nagpur University, complemented by executive programs at Harvard Business School and the Indian School of Business.
