December 2025 : Spark Minda, a leading automotive component manufacturer, has recently announced a significant strategic appointment to spearhead its future growth initiatives. Mr. Supratik Roy has joined the company as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Emerging Business division.

This critical new role is designed to accelerate Spark Minda's ventures in high-growth areas, including Electronics, EV, Telematics, and Sensors. The company emphasized the broad scope of his leadership, stating he will lead the development of our strategic roadmap and oversee business planning to drive growth, achieve financial targets and enhance customer engagement. Furthermore, Mr. Roy’s mandate includes steering R&D, manufacturing operations, people development, and process improvements.

Mr. Roy brings a distinguished track record of corporate leadership, specializing in electronics and automotive systems. Before joining Spark Minda, he served as the Chief Operating Officer & Senior Director at Magneti Marelli UM Electronic Systems and as Business Head (CEO) at Cosmo Ferrites Limited. He also held various senior leadership roles at Lumax Industries Ltd. for over a decade, focusing on the Electronics Division.

Academically, Mr. Roy is exceptionally well-qualified, having pursued programs at three prestigious institutions: the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and Washington University in St. Louis. His blend of deep technical knowledge, particularly in semiconductors and electronics, coupled with strong management acumen, makes him the ideal leader to chart the course for Spark Minda’s strategic growth in the rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
