Valeo Appoints Sayyad Badesahab as Site GM & Director - Power Division

August 2026 : To fortify its manufacturing leadership and accelerate regional growth, Valeo has recently appointed Sayyad Badesahab as Site General Manager & Director for its Power Division in Pune.

With over 28 years of cross-industry expertise, Sayyad is widely recognized across the automotive and manufacturing sectors for turning high-level vision into floor-level execution. He brings a deep track record of establishing greenfield operations, driving P&L turnarounds, and integrating digital Industry 4.0 innovations to build resilient supply chains. In his new role, Sayyad will lead strategic growth, operational excellence, and facility expansion for Valeo's Power Division in Pune.

Sayyad's career trajectory highlights a rare combination of technical precision and executive leadership. Most recently, he served as Associate Vice President of Operations at Autoliv India. Prior to that, during a decade-long tenure at Valeo, he successfully led a dramatic P&L turnaround for the Thermal Climate Control division, flipping EBIT from -6% to +3.8% in just one year and introducing localized EV thermal management solutions. His foundational career spans leadership and technical roles at Subros Limited, Electrolux Kelvinator Limited and Videocon Appliances Limited.

Sayyad holds a strong academic foundation: an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Karnatak University, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar University, a Diploma from Government Polytechnic, an MBA in Operations Management from IGNOU, and advanced executive certifications in operations and corporate strategy from IIM Ahmedabad.
