Oct 2026 : Aarti Industries Limited (AIL) has signed a 10-plus year manufacturing and supply agreement with a leading global specialty chemical firm. The long-term partnership carries an estimated revenue potential of ₹1,500 crores (approximately $150 million) over the contract duration.
Under the terms of the deal, AIL will build, commission, and run a dedicated production facility in India. The plant will produce a high-performance specialty chemical using the partner firm’s proprietary process technology, supported by a structured financial arrangement to finance a capital expenditure of under $25 million. Commercial operations are slated to begin in FY2028–29.
The deal highlights a growing trend among multinational firms: localizing chemical manufacturing to build supply-chain resilience while tapping into India's engineering scale. By pairing global technology with AIL’s operating and scale-up capabilities, the contract offers AIL long-term revenue visibility while expanding its footprint with global clients.
Suyog Kotecha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aarti Industries Limited, emphasized the strategic importance of the relationship:
"This agreement brings a new global customer into AIL's portfolio and reflects the confidence placed in our ability to establish and operate dedicated manufacturing assets to global standards. The model combines the customer's proprietary technology with AIL's strengths in scale-up engineering, execution and reliable operations.
The long-term domestic supply arrangement provides sustained visibility while creating a capital-efficient platform for growth. It also gives both organisations a foundation to expand the engagement as the customer's India requirements grow. We look forward to building this into a trusted and enduring manufacturing partnership."
Founded in 1984, AIL brings over four decades of chemical processing expertise to the deal, backed by 16 plants and four R&D centers across India. As global supply chains continue to diversify, this partnership positions both companies to capture rising domestic and international demand.
