February 2026 : In a significant boost to India’s "Make in India" initiative, Boeing has awarded Aequs a strategic contract to manufacture aft access doors for the Boeing 767-2C. The two aerospace giants formally exchanged the agreement against the high-octane backdrop of the ongoing Wings India 2026 at Begumpet Airport.

The Boeing 767-2C is a critical platform, serving as the airframe for the KC-46A Pegasus, the world’s most advanced multi-mission aerial refueling tanker. This contract further solidifies Aequs’ standing as a Tier-1 supplier to global aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

The manufacturing will take place at the Belagavi Aerospace Cluster (BAC), India's first notified precision engineering Special Economic Zone. Aequs will leverage its vertically integrated capabilities - a "one-stop-shop" model that encompasses forging, high-precision machining, surface treatment, and complex aerostructure assembly.

Aequs has consistently scaled its operations to support major commercial and defense aviation platforms, now boasting one of the largest aerospace product portfolios in India.

The formal ceremony saw participation from key leaders across both organizations, including Mohan D S (CEO of Aequs’ forging JV, SQuAD Forging Pvt. Ltd.), Ashwani Bhargava (Senior Director, Supply Chain, Boeing India), Vinayak R Patil (Head of Account and Program Management, Aerospace at Aequs Limited), and Ganapati Hebbar (Manager, Supplier Development and Growth, Boeing India).

With this deal, Aequs continues to pave the way for India to become a central hub in the global aerospace value chain.
