December 2025 : The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has officially commenced its Diamond Jubilee celebrations, marking 60 years of innovation and excellence in India’s automotive Research & Development ecosystem. The year-long festivities, themed ‘Driving Infinite Possibilities,’ was launched with a high-profile event.
The ceremony was graced by Shri H D Kumaraswamy, the Hon’ble Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Government of India, who officially unveiled a commemorative logo symbolizing the boundless potential for future mobility innovations.
The celebration, spanning from December 2025 to January 2027, is structured around four strategic pillars: Branding, Customer Experience Enhancement, Employee Engagement, and Organization Legacy & Facelift. Key activities planned include the inauguration of advanced laboratories and centres, youth engagement programs such as hackathons and competitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions led by industry pioneers and scientists. Nationwide awareness programs promoting safe and sustainable mobility will also feature prominently, collectively reinforcing ARAI’s contribution to the nation during the Amrit Kaal.
Hon’ble Minister Shri H D Kumaraswamy commended ARAI’s enduring impact, reflecting its commitment to future-ready mobility, safety, and technological excellence. He conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the institution’s future endeavors.
Dr. Reji Mathai, Director, ARAI, expressed his gratitude and vision. He said, “It was our honor to have Hon’ble Minister Shri H D Kumaraswamy at the onset of this celebration and unveil this Diamond Jubilee Logo. His guidance will definitely help us in shaping the coming years for ARAI. The elements of this logo embody ARAI’s journey-stable yet forward-looking, rooted in research, & driven by purpose. I would like to express my gratitude to ARAI alumni and present team for their dedication and innovations, which have significantly contributed to ARAI’s illustrious journey of 60 years.
