“Today on the 84th birthday of Bajaj Auto’s late Chairman Emeritus Shri Rahul Bajaj, we have delivered on our commitment to commission this center of excellence for Chetak by June 2022. This focused, the integrated and agile facility is intended to power the Chetak’s ride back to the future.” - Mr Rajiv Bajaj, Chairman – Chetak Technology Ltd.

June 2022 : Chetak Technology Ltd introduced their recently constructed EV manufacturing plant at Pune's Akurdi on 12th June 2022, on the birth commemoration of late Shri Rahul Bajaj.

This introduction is a homecoming in numerous ways on the grounds that Akurdi is where the notable Chetak bike was brought into the world during the 1970s and proceeded to reclassify portability for ages in India. In October 2019, Chetak - created after fastidious examination and a huge number of kilometers of on-street testing - denoted its return in an all-new electric symbol.

From that point forward, the new Chetak has quickly extended its deals and administration organization to almost 30 urban areas in India. With more than 14,000 Chetaks sold and north of 16,000 appointments ready to go, the brand keeps on being the #1 among clients looking for electric vehicles as another choice for individual portability.

Remembering the rising interest in EVs in India, this plant's ability can be quickly extended to make 500,000 electric bikes for each annum.

Chetak Technology Ltd and its merchant accomplices will put almost Rs 750 crores in this new EV fabricating plant. The plant is spread over a portion of 1,000,000 square feet and is supposed to produce work for 11,000 individuals. Co-situated with a cutting-edge R&D focus, CTL's Akurdi office is good to go to be changed into a significant center for the plan, improvement, and assembling of Electric Vehicles.
