November 2025 : Eicher Trucks and Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), recently announced a major expansion in the Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) segment with the launch of the Eicher Pro X Diesel. This move broadens their next-generation offering, complementing the successful Eicher Pro X EV introduced earlier this year, in the crucial 2–3.5 ton segment.

The Pro X Diesel is powered by the "all new E449 X2" diesel engine, engineered to deliver best-in-class fuel efficiency and segment-best power and torque. Notably, the new E449 engine features advanced Lean NOX Technology, which eliminates the need for Urea, a significant advantage highlighted as a testament to Eicher’s #MakeinIndia capability.

Co-developed with customers, the Pro X Diesel is built for high profitability, featuring the segment’s largest cargo deck (10 feet 8 inches) and a longest service interval of an unmatched 30,000 km for superior uptime.

It introduces segment-leading comfort and safety features, including a crash-test certified metallic cabin, ergonomic D+2 seating), and daytime running lamps (DRL).”

Underlining a commitment to inclusivity, the vehicle is manufactured at Eicher’s Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant and is assembled on an all-woman line. Currently available in 3T and 3.5T GVW variants, the Eicher Pro X Diesel is set to transform last-mile logistics across diverse applications, from e-commerce to regional distribution.
