The President of the apex machine tool industry spoke about IMTMA’s vision of contributing to India’s manufacturing sector and how IMTEX Forming 2024 is playing a key role in realizing this vision.

What is IMTMA’s vision in contributing to India’s manufacturing sector?
We are growing with the way the country is moving. The manufacturing sector right now contributes 17 percent to the GDP of India. The government’s vision is to move to 25 percent. IMTMA is also looking at a similar growth story for all our machine tool people.

What are your expectations from IMTEX Forming 2024?
IMTEX 2024, which is the Forming show specifically, has been the largest show so far with participation of 1625 stalls from 20 odd countries. There is a huge technology shift which you will see - be it welding, be it industry 4.0 or automation. Definitely, we expect a lot of people to come and explore the new technology which has been shown in this particular show. We expect the show will also help our people to use the new technology to move ahead.
