July 2025 : Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) recently announced a significant leadership change, with Priya Nair, currently President, Beauty & Wellbeing, Unilever, appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of HUL, effective August 1, 2025. She will also join the HUL Board, subject to necessary approvals, and continue as a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive (ULE).

Priya Nair brings extensive experience to her new role, having joined HUL in 1995. She has held various sales and marketing positions across Home Care, Beauty & Wellbeing, and Personal Care businesses. Her impactful contributions include serving as Executive Director, Home Care, HUL (2014-2020), and Executive Director, Beauty & Personal Care, HUL (2020-2022). Subsequently, she became Global Chief Marketing Officer, Beauty & Wellbeing at Unilever, and since 2023, has successfully led the Beauty & Wellbeing business as its President, making it one of Unilever’s fastest-growing segments.

Rohit Jawa will step down as CEO and MD on July 31, 2025, to pursue the next chapter in his personal and professional journey. Mr. Jawa took over as CEO and MD of HUL in 2023. During his tenure of over two years, the company achieved volume-led competitive growth and he introduced the ‘ASPIRE’ strategy, which has been instrumental in transforming the portfolio and channels towards high-growth demand spaces. Rohit’s distinguished 37-year career with Unilever includes notable successes as Executive Vice President North Asia and Chair Unilever China, and Chair of Unilever Philippines.
