"Access to Infineon's globally proven semiconductor technology, combined with our understanding of Indian operating conditions, positions us to build products that are truly designed in India for India and eventually for the world." - Veer Karan Goyal, Founder & CTO - Zenergize

March 2026 : The push for a "Viksit Bharat" just received a high-voltage upgrade. At the Bharat Electricity Summit (BES) 2026 in New Delhi, global semiconductor titan Infineon Technologies AG announced a strategic partnership with Zenergize, an emerging Indian power-electronics trailblazer. The goal? To ensure that the hardware driving India’s energy transition is not just used in India, but designed and optimized right here.

Through this collaboration, Infineon will provide Zenergize with its industry-leading wide-bandgap (WBG) semiconductors - specifically Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology - alongside advanced microcontrollers. For the average person, this means the "brains" and "muscles" inside solar inverters, EV fast chargers, and energy-storage systems will be more efficient, compact, and rugged enough to handle India’s unique environmental demands.

This partnership is less about a corporate merger and more about a technology handshake. By integrating Infineon’s globally proven SiC technology, Zenergize can build systems that harvest more solar energy and charge electric vehicles faster than traditional silicon-based alternatives.

Jens Reinstaedt, Vice President Application Management Industrial & Infrastructure at Infineon Technologies, highlighted the scale of the mission: "India's energy-transition ambitions are among the most significant in the world, and Infineon is committed to being a long-term technology partner in this journey. As the number one in power semiconductors, we master all relevant materials - silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride - and deliver complete system solutions from power switches and gate drivers to microcontrollers, sensors, and connectivity. This enables partners like Zenergize to build more efficient, compact, and reliable power-electronics products, optimized for India's demanding operating conditions."

For Zenergize, collaboration is a cornerstone for self-reliance. Veer Karan Goyal, Founder & CTO of Zenergize, noted the strategic importance of this access: "Access to Infineon's globally proven semiconductor technology, combined with our understanding of Indian operating conditions, positions us to build products that are truly designed in India for India and eventually for the world."

As national programs like the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana drive a surge in home solar adoption, and the EV revolution hits its stride, this partnership ensures that the critical technology underlying these shifts remains high-performing and locally grounded. It’s a significant step toward a technology-independent India that doesn't just consume global innovation but contributes to it.
