Oct 2026 : L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has signed a multi-year agreement with Nokia to support the telecommunications giant's engineering and research and development (R&D) operations in India.
The five-year collaboration brings together LTTS’s deep engineering expertise and Nokia’s advanced telecommunications technologies. Under the agreement, LTTS will support Nokia’s global R&D initiatives across product engineering, software development, system integration, and ongoing support services.
To power the partnership, LTTS will establish a dedicated Offshore Development Center (ODC) in India. The facility directly aligns with LTTS’s "Lakshya 31" strategic vision, focusing heavily on next-generation compute and AI infrastructure. Operating at the intersection of data-center-grade compute and AI capabilities, the ODC will help build next-generation telecom solutions. LTTS will also assemble a specialized engineering team to support Nokia’s global Technology Center, tackling projects in 5G networks, intelligent automation, AI-driven operations, and AI infrastructure.
Through an integrated operating model, LTTS will collaborate seamlessly with Nokia's global teams, spanning embedded systems, new product development, and full lifecycle support.
Highlighting the scope of the alliance, Vivek Jaiswal, Senior Vice President of Engineering at Nokia, stated: "As a leader in AI infrastructure, Nokia’s continued investment in R&D is essential to developing the advanced connectivity technologies that will power the AI supercycle. India is an important innovation hub for Nokia, and LTTS is a critical partner that will bring engineering expertise and mechanisms that will help us expand our R&D footprint and accelerate innovation in this strategically important geography."
Alind Saxena, Executive Director & President - Strategic Initiatives & Growth Markets at LTTS, added: "This strategic engagement represents a significant milestone for LTTS and our Technology Segment. It reflects the trust that leading technology innovators place in our Engineering Intelligence approach and deep-tech engineering expertise. This collaboration also aligns strongly with LTTS’ Lakshya 31 Big Bet around Next Gen Compute and AI infrastructure, an area that will be fundamental to the evolution of future communication networks and intelligent datacenters."
