November 2025 : Phillips Machine Tools has officially inaugurated its Phillips Manufacturing Expertise Center in Chakan, Pune, marking a significant step toward advancing India’s manufacturing landscape. The world-class facility, strategically located in one of India's leading industrial hubs, is set to be a focal point for innovation, learning, and collaboration.
The grand unveiling was jointly performed by Mr. Basavraj P. Kalyani, Executive Director of Bharat Forge Ltd., and Mr. Alan Phillips, President of Phillips Corporation, USA. The center is dedicated to accelerating India’s transition to advanced, smart, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
The facility showcases Phillips' comprehensive end-to-end manufacturing capabilities, offering visitors and customers live demonstrations of state-of-the-art CNC machines, automation systems, and next-generation additive 3D printers. This includes diverse technologies like SLA, SLS, FFF, DMLS, and Hybrid systems, providing an exciting glimpse into the future of industrial innovation. Crucially, the center will also function as a training and application development hub, aiming to bridge the skill and technology gap for engineers and students.
Chief guest Mr. Basavraj P. Kalyani underscored the national importance of the initiative, stating: “India is on the cusp of a manufacturing revolution.
