Women can change the dynamics of Manufacturing

Dr. Rashi Gupta, Founder and Director, Vision Mechatronics who is fondly known as "Batterywali of India", is a Pioneer in Advanced Lithium Batteries bringing the "World's Smartest Lithium Battery" to India speaks to Pro MFG Media on her journey and the future of the energy storage segment.

The name ‘Batterwali’ was bestowed by the industry peers and consumers as Dr. Rashi Gupta is the first women in the industry to bring the technology which is state of art, well advanced and glorifies the energy storage. She is an ardent believer of gender equality and practices that in her working space. She has imbibed the culture of gender equality in her organization and stresses to treat an engineer like an engineer – be it a woman or man. It is essential to focus on the role played by the team member and not by which gender is behind that role.

In such cultures, where men and women are treated equally, even women should be able to perform the fair amount of work which is allocated to them by the organization. Dr. Gupta shares that the working atmosphere has mellowed down since the women have entered the manufacturing space. They have brought sensitivity to the entire work space thus created a happy work environment. She believes that it is essential to have both the genders, one cannot just be biased towards only one gender. .
