February 2026 : In a strategic move to bolster its technological leadership, Blue Star Limited has recently announced the appointment of Pravin Garje as Head - R&D, Unitary Cooling Products, effective February 2026. Garje steps into this pivotal role to oversee the end-to-end research and development for Blue Star’s diverse portfolio, including air conditioners, deep freezers, water coolers, and air coolers.\

With over 16 years of expertise in consumer durables, Garje is tasked with driving innovation and sustainability. In his new role, he will focus on ‘building institutional capability, leading high-performing teams, and developing future-ready technology platforms aligned with evolving regulatory and consumer landscapes.’

Throughout his career, Garje has been a catalyst for breakthrough innovations and the commercialization of intellectual property. His contributions to industry-wide regulatory alignment have reinforced India's self-reliant manufacturing ecosystem, earning him multiple design accolades and sustainability certifications.

Garje’s professional journey is a masterclass in engineering excellence. He joins Blue Star following a stellar decade-long tenure at Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, where he rose to the rank of Associate Vice President. His earlier career saw him honing his technical skills as a Project Engineer at Pentair and as an Assistant Manager at Kirloskar Brothers Limited.

Garje holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and is an alumnus of the Leadership Development Program at IIM Lucknow.
