June 2026 : Hindalco Industries Limited has officially commissioned India’s first integrated aluminium bicycle components manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. Spread across a massive 200,000 sq. ft., this hub marks a massive leap forward for the country's mobility ecosystem, bringing the entire aluminium value chain - from bauxite mining to high-precision engineered bicycle parts - under one massive, synchronized roof.

Equipped with advanced manufacturing and finishing capabilities, the facility boasts an annual production capacity of approximately 500,000 frames and forks, 750,000 handlebars, and 800,000 pairs of wheel rims, aiming to supply both booming domestic and international markets.

But beyond the heavy machinery and production numbers, this milestone represents a profound evolution in company mindset.
