Oct 2026 : LIXIL Corporation, a pioneer in water and housing products, has recently announced a major manufacturing expansion in India with a brand-new window production plant in Hyderabad. Spanning 500,000 square feet and set to open in 2028, the facility will significantly enhance the company's local capabilities while aligning with the Indian government's "Make in India" initiative.

Operating under the newly formed "LHT Global" organization, this investment will double the domestic production ratio for LIXIL’s premium TOSTEM aluminum window systems and sliding doors from 30% to over 60%. Working alongside LIXIL’s existing plant in IMT Manesar, Haryana, the new site will ensure swift supply across Northern and Southern India.

To solve the quality inconsistencies often associated with sourcing windows from fragmented fabricators, LIXIL relies on its proprietary TOSTEM "Windows in the Box" solution. These ready-to-assemble, precision-engineered kits manage 80% of critical processes in-house to guarantee global quality standards on site. LIXIL is supporting this expansion with an ambitious retail network across 160 partner firms and over 150 showrooms in 130 cities.
