July 2025 : Shri Prabhat Kumar, IRS - ADG National Academy Of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, has recently been elected as the new Chairman of PanIIT Alumni India. Mr. Kumar expressed his profound honor at accepting the role. He views it "not just a position, but a shared mission," and is eager to collaborate with the team to unlock their collective potential. He emphasized that with over 500,000+ IIT alumni across the globe, their collective potential has never been greater. PIAI has a long history of driving impact through technology, entrepreneurship, education, and nation-building.

Mr. Kumar highlighted the increasing importance of IITians' role, stating that "India and the world need IITians to lead in AI, sustainability, innovation, and policy". He called upon the alumni to "Co-Create the Future of PIAI" by encouraging them to engage in chapters and initiatives, mentor the next generation, innovate with bold ideas, and foster an inclusive environment for all IITians.

His immediate focus for the organization includes:

● Scaling impact: Aiming for a 10x increase in membership and expanding global reach.
● Elevating IIT’s legacy: Focusing on innovation, mentorship, and nation-building.
● Strengthening alliance: Unifying the 23 IITs into "one unstoppable force".
