September 2026 : In a major push toward strengthening India’s domestic electronics supply chain, connectivity giant Rosenberger India has officially been approved under the Union Government’s flagship Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS).
The landmark selection signals a significant step forward in the company’s efforts to expand its manufacturing footprint and deepen its investments in high-end technological infrastructure across the country. As part of its commitments under the scheme, Rosenberger India is rolling out long-term strategic plans focused on capital investment, business scale-up, and direct job creation extending through 2030-31.
A formal ceremony marking the achievement took place in New Delhi. During the event, Mr. Ashok K K Vasudevan, Managing Director of Rosenberger India, was presented with the official approval documentation in the presence of Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, Electronics & Information Technology, and Mr. Nitin Yadav, Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology.
The ECMS initiative forms a central pillar of India’s push for high-value domestic component production. With only 31 companies selected in this competitive tranche, Rosenberger India joins an elite cohort of manufacturers charged with reducing import reliance and accelerating local component assembly.
Reflecting on the milestone, the company emphasized that the recognition is not just a reflection of its present capabilities, but a clear blueprint for its future trajectory - building, investing, and growing alongside the nation's high-tech manufacturing sector.
By expanding its operational capabilities in India, Rosenberger India aims to play a vital role in positioning the country as an agile, self-reliant global manufacturing hub for advanced electronics.
