July 2025 : SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director: Keita Kato) has recently announced its decision to establish a sixth manufacturing plant in India for its joint venture, SEKISUI DLJM MOLDING PRIVATE LIMITED. The new facility, located in the Chakan district of Pune, Maharashtra, will specialize in producing injection molded products for automobiles and motorcycles.

With an investment of approximately $3 million USD, the new plant is expected to commence operations in January 2026. This expansion underscores SEKISUI CHEMICAL’s High Performance Plastics Company’s strategy to grow its injection molding business within the mobility sector, which it views as a key strategic area.

SEKISUI DLJM MOLDING, established in August 2011 as a joint venture with local company Dipty Lal Judge Mal Private Limited, has steadily expanded its operations in line with increasing motorization in India. The decision to establish the new plant in Pune was driven by the region's concentration of automobile manufacturers and strong growth projections.

The new facility will significantly boost SEKISUI DLJM MOLDING's production capacity in India by approximately 15%, further expanding its business footprint. The Pune Plant will occupy a site area of 10,044 m² with a plant floor area of 6,288 m².

Through the effects of the Pune Plant's operation and other factors, SEKISUI DLJM MOLDING aims to achieve net sales of $130 million USD in fiscal 2030.
