July 2026 : The Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of India's oldest and most prestigious premier trade bodies, has recently announced the appointment of Sudhanshu Vats as its President for the 2026-27 term. Vats, the current Managing Director of Pidilite Industries Ltd., steps into this vital leadership role to champion responsible business practices, advocate for forward-looking economic policies, and foster collaborative industrial growth.

His appointment brings a wealth of strategic vision to the Chamber at a time when businesses are actively navigating digital transformation, sustainability goals, and changing market dynamics.

Sudhashu began his professional journey with a formidable 20-year tenure at Unilever. He then took a role at BP (Castrol India). Vats subsequently spent eight transformative years as the MD and Group CEO of Viacom18 Media. Later, as MD and CEO of EPL Limited, he drove double-digit growth despite pandemic challenges. Today, he steers the helm of Pidilite Industries, celebrated for its iconic adhesive brands.

Sudhashu holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, where he was a distinguished Gold Medalist, and completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
