Currently serving as Senior Vice President, K N Prasad will take charge from Mr. K G Mohan Kumar after his appointment by the Board of Directors in their meeting to be held in January 2022.

December 2021: Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts Pvt Ltd (TKAP) has announced the proposed appointment of K N Prasad as Managing Director. Currently serving as Senior Vice President, Mr Prasad will take charge from K G Mohan Kumar after his appointment by the Board of Directors in their meeting to be held in January 2022.

Mr. Prasad will be responsible for strategic direction of TKAP’s operations in India. He brings with him rich experience in diverse areas covering Production, Engineering and Quality. His in-depth sector knowledge and deep understanding of the evolving industry scenario is expected to further contribute to overall growth of the company at this critical juncture.

Commenting on the leadership change, Mr. Mohan Kumar, Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, said, “I am grateful for the support and co-operation extended to me during the tenure at TKAP by our employees, customers, share-holders and supplier partners. Having joined TKAP in 1998, K G Mohan Kumar was responsible for localization of parts, equipment, and developing engineering talent for all product lines of the company. One of the key achievements during his tenure was to showcase Indian suppliers’ competitiveness and manufacturing capabilities thus enhancing export opportunities. He made significant contribution to customer relations initiatives and cost management across the organization.
