April 2026 : Setting a new benchmark for automotive safety and intelligence, global giant Valeo has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art production line for HD Surround-View Cameras at its Sanand facility in Gujarat. This expansion marks a pivotal moment in localized manufacturing, transforming the region into a high-tech hub for the "eyes" of next-generation vehicles.
The newly launched line focuses on the high-volume production of vision systems designed to power both Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS). By shifting the manufacturing of these complex components to India, Valeo is directly fueling the domestic demand for smarter, safer, and semi-autonomous driving solutions.
The Sanand facility is rapidly evolving beyond hardware; it is becoming a powerhouse for automotive displays and telematics control units. While the physical assembly takes place in Gujarat, the sophisticated software driving these sensors continues to be perfected at Valeo’s dedicated R&D hub in Chennai.
