“For a ‘Truly Electric Future’, we have to work constructively and collaborate at four levels to achieve the Network Effect: 1. EV Players (OEMS and Components), 2. Infra Providers, 3. Ecosystem Enablers, and 4. Government / Policy Thought Leaders,” said Sanjay Behl, CEO & Executive Director, Greaves Electric Mobility.

Prof. Anil Srivastava pointed out that the Indian EV market has reached the tipping point as far as the two-wheeler segment is concerned. “We need a mission for transformative mobility. Any battery which is not a clean battery will not survive. So, research, education, and transfer of knowledge for clean energy is a must for the industry,” he said. Prof. Srivastava further added that the Government will have to be a lot more proactive and at the same time, proper coordination amongst various stakeholders is critical.

Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (GoI) highlighted that at present 42 percent of the charging capacity is non-fossil and the aim is to take it to 60 percent by 2030.
