February 2026 : In a move set to redefine India’s industrial landscape, AG&P Industrial and Pragati Infra Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (PISL) have recently announced a powerhouse Joint Venture to establish the country’s first advanced modular EPC and heavy fabrication facility. The announcement was made at the prestigious India Energy Week 2026, where the two firms signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the USD 100 million project.
The state-of-the-art facility, slated for completion in Andhra Pradesh by 2027, aims to localize manufacturing for the oil & gas, LNG, and energy transition sectors. The partnership combines AG&P’s seven decades of global "Modstruction™" expertise with PISL’s deep-rooted execution capabilities in Indian infrastructure.
The venture marks a pivotal shift toward industrialized, productivity-driven models in India. Ms. Anupam Ahuja, President of Corporate Strategy & Development at AG&P Global, highlighted the impact: "Our collaboration reflects India's transition from traditional, labor-intensive construction to productivity-driven, industrialized execution models. This shift is fueling demand for modular infrastructure and integrated delivery solutions that ensure faster, safer, and more predictable project outcomes."
With both companies holding a 50 percent stake, the JV is squarely aligned with national goals of energy security and industrial self-reliance. Mr. Shubhendra Mittal, Managing Director of PISL, noted the facility's role in global competitiveness: "Together, PISL and AG&P intend to develop a world-class fabrication and modularization yard in India, aligned with national priorities such as import substitution, energy security, and industrial self-reliance... we will expand in-country manufacturing capacity and jointly develop a state-of-the-art heavy modular fabrication and erection facility, with the core philosophy to maximizing production and bring globally benchmarked EPC and fabrication capabilities to India."
This milestone collaboration is poised to support the next phase of India’s infrastructure boom, attracting significant foreign investment while building a "future-ready" ecosystem under the 'Make in India, Make for the World' initiative.
