February 2026 : In a major move to accelerate its "Amara Raja 3.0" vision, the Amara Raja Group has recently announced the appointment of Anuradha Sastry as Business Head - Automation. Incubated within Mangal Industries, Sastry will lead the automation line of business while driving group-wide shopfloor digital transformation and smart manufacturing initiatives.
A seasoned technology leader, Sastry brings over two decades of experience in delivering high-impact, system-led solutions for global manufacturing and energy giants. Her appointment comes at a critical time as Amara Raja transitions into a $2 billion powerhouse focused on new energy, mobility solutions, and high-tech manufacturing.
Sastry’s role is central to advancing the group’s digital core. She is tasked with reimagining manufacturing workflows through the lens of Industry 4.0, integrating advanced automation, and enhancing real-time data visibility across the shopfloor.
Before joining Amara Raja, Sastry was a Director at PwC India. Her career is a blueprint of cross-industry success, having held key leadership and digital transformation roles at Oracle, Cisco, IBM, and Hewlett-Packard (HP). Her early career also includes impactful stints at Lucent Technologies, Bharti Airtel, and IMRB International.
Sastry’s academic pedigree is equally distinguished. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and a Bachelor of Business Studies from the College of Business Studies, Delhi University. An advocate for lifelong learning, she has earned certifications in IoT and technology management from MIT Sloan, executive management from ISB, and participated in the University of California, Berkeley’s leadership programs.
