Bridgestone India appoints Rajarshi Moitra as Managing Director

November 2025 : Bridgestone India has recently announced a major leadership change, appointing Mr. Rajarshi Moitra as the new Managing Director, effective January 1, 2026. Mr. Moitra, who currently serves as Deputy Managing Director, takes the helm at a pivotal time as the company accelerates its transformation into a sustainable solutions provider.

Mr. Moitra succeeds Mr. Hiroshi Yoshizane, who has led Bridgestone India since January 2024. Mr. Yoshizane will be promoted to Vice President and Senior Officer of Bridgestone Corporation, effective the same date. He will, however, maintain his strategic ties to the Indian market by continuing in his roles as Group President of Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India, China (BSAPIC), and Chairman of the Board of Bridgestone India.

Mr. Moitra brings over 20 years of experience in business strategy, sales, marketing, and leading large transformations. Since joining Bridgestone India in 2019, he has progressively expanded his responsibilities, including leading the Consumer, Commercial, and Solution Businesses.

After earning a degree in PM & IR from TISS and gaining early HR experience at Ranbaxy, Marico, and PepsiCo, Mr. Moitra spent nearly 16 years at CEAT Tyres. There, he transitioned into P&L roles like Vice President International Business and Head Strategy. He currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Bridgestone India, where he leads all commercial, solutions, and supply chain functions with full revenue and profit accountability for the country, augmenting their knowledge with an INSEAD Strategic Marketing course.
