August 2025 : In a landmark move strengthening its commitment to India's railway modernization, Frauscher Sensor Technology India has commenced construction of a new global manufacturing hub in Mysore, Karnataka. This state-of-the-art facility is set to complement the company's existing operations in Austria and is expected to be completed by October 2026.
Spanning 1.55 lakh square feet, the two-story facility is strategically designed to scale sensor and board production, enhance technological innovation, and create regional employment. The first floor will house a dedicated R&D hub and two specialized centers: the Frauscher Training Centre for hands-on programs and the Frauscher Experience Centre to showcase cutting-edge solutions.
The localized R&D hub will focus on tailored product innovation for Indian Railways, reinforcing Frauscher’s ability to deliver trusted and intelligent solutions. The new hub is also positioned to serve international markets, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other emerging regions.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility will feature 100 percent wastewater recycling, rainwater harvesting, and rooftop solar panels. A traditional groundbreaking ceremony, including a symbolic shovel ceremony and tree planting, marked the occasion, with representatives from Indian Railways and key industry partners in attendance.
