August 2025 : L&T Electronic Products & Systems (L&T EPS) under L&T Precision Engineering and Systems has announced the appointment of Mr. Virupakshappa Hovale as the new Head – Industrial Robotics & Automation. This strategic move is set to strengthen the company’s focus on the future of robotics and cobotics in India.

Mr. Hovale brings over 30 years of global expertise in the fields of robotics, cobotics, industrial automation, motion control, IoT, and energy efficiency. He has a distinguished career history, having held leadership positions at global companies including Universal Robots, where he served as Regional Director for South Pacific, and Bosch Rexroth India, where he was the Country General Manager. His experience also includes key roles at Rockwell Automation and Siemens.

In his new role at L&T EPS, he will be responsible for spearheading the company's next-generation robotics portfolio. His mandate includes driving the development of solutions ranging from construction robotics to advanced Industry 5.0 applications, with the goal of unlocking new possibilities in automation for both the Indian market and beyond.
