June 2026 : Lubrizol and Grasim Industries Limited have officially inaugurated a world-class Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) resin manufacturing plant in Vilayat, Gujarat. The grand opening was graced by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, alongside Rebecca Liebert (CEO, Lubrizol) and Jayant V Dhobley (Business Head & CEO Global Chemicals, Aditya Birla Group).

This new facility, paired with recently upgraded compounding capacities at Lubrizol’s nearby Dahej site, establishes one of India’s most scalable and integrated CPVC manufacturing footprints. By blending Lubrizol’s pioneering global technology with Grasim’s deep local manufacturing prowess, the partnership ensures a highly agile, resilient, and reliable domestic supply chain for high-performance piping and clean water delivery systems.

For Lubrizol, this milestone beautifully honors its 60-year history in the region while aligning directly with the nation's "Make in India" vision. Reflecting on the milestone, Abhishek Shrivastava, Vice President & Managing Director, Lubrizol IMEA, shared a deeply human perspective on the achievement: “This facility is more than infrastructure.
