October 2025 : Rolls-Royce has significantly expanded its strategic partnership with Bharat Forge Ltd, signing an agreement to manufacture and supply fan blades for its advanced Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines. This move reinforces Rolls-Royce's commitment to the 'Make in India' vision and its goal to double supply chain sourcing from India by 2030.

The contract, signed at Rolls-Royce’s Dahlewitz facility near Berlin, solidifies Bharat Forge's position as a trusted global supplier of precision aerospace components. According to Sashi Mukundan, Executive Vice President- Transformation, Rolls-Royce India, the new contract "reflects our commitment to developing world-class manufacturing capabilities in India."

This collaboration builds on a successful history, as Bharat Forge has been a key supplier since the inception of the Pearl 700 Programme in 2020. They achieved a major milestone in 2024 by delivering their first zero-defect fan blade for the Pearl 700. The newly signed agreement extends this crucial role to the Pearl 10X engine, the latest and most powerful member of the market-leading Pearl family, which powers some of the largest, fastest, and longest-range business jets.

Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, Ltd., expressed pride in the expanded partnership, stating it "reflects our shared commitment to engineering excellence and long-term collaboration."

Remarkably, Bharat Forge is the first and only company in India to offer this advanced technology for precision aerospace components used in the Pearl engine family, demonstrating its investment in cutting-edge manufacturing infrastructure. The Pearl 10X engine, featuring the highly efficient Advance2 engine core, delivers superior thrust exceeding 18,000lb.

This deeper collaboration is a key part of Rolls-Royce’s 90-year legacy in India, which includes a robust supply chain, engineering capability, and more than 1400 Rolls-Royce engines powering various Indian defense platforms. Both companies are now poised to support the next generation of high-performance aviation globally.
