January 2026 : Sulzer Pumps India has recently announced a significant boost to its leadership team with the appointment of Santosh Gaikwad as the new Vice President of Operations. A veteran in industrial engineering and operational excellence, Gaikwad steps into the role to drive manufacturing throughput and high-level productivity across the company’s Indian operations.

Gaikwad’s expertise lies in Value Stream Transformation and data-driven problem solving. At Sulzer, he is now responsible for leading manufacturing operations, production planning, maintenance, and CAPEX projects, with a primary focus on safety and product quality.

Gaikwad’s journey is a roadmap of top-tier industrial leadership. Before taking the helm as VP of Operations, he served as VP - SES & Lean at Sulzer. His extensive background includes a seven-year tenure at SPX FLOW, Inc. He also led industrial engineering clusters at Coats and spent nearly a decade at Honeywell. He began his career at L&T Heavy Engineering.

This deep practical experience is backed by stellar academics, including an M.Tech from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, a B.E. from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and executive certifications in Business Finance and Strategic Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad
