March 2026 : In a massive win for India’s heavy engineering sector, Thermax Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), has clinched a boiler package supply order valued at approximately Rs. 1,600 crore.

The contract was awarded by a major thermal power player in Central India for a 1x800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant. This high-efficiency technology is designed to operate at elevated temperatures and pressures, significantly boosting energy output while reducing the environmental footprint compared to conventional coal plants.

The project scope is comprehensive, covering the entire lifecycle of the boiler package. TBWES will handle the manufacturing, supply, and supervision of installation and commissioning. To ensure the plant operates at peak industrial standards, Thermax will also conduct rigorous performance testing. Execution is set to follow strict project milestones and delivery schedules defined in the contract.
