November 2025 : TÜV SÜD AG, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, has recently announced the appointment of Patrick Vollmer as the new Chairman of its Board of Management. Mr. Vollmer, who brings extensive experience from his tenure at Accenture, will assume the role on February 2, 2026, joining the board alongside Ishan Palit (COO) and Sabine Nitzsche (CFO).

The move signals a strategic emphasis on digitalization, AI, and industrial transformation for the 30,000-employee strong organization, which plays a critical role in validating innovations such as autonomous driving and renewable energy.

Frank Hyldmar, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TÜV SÜD AG, emphasized the new leader’s credentials: “Patrick Vollmer brings extensive international experience in industrial and service sectors, as well as a deep understanding of how to grow a service business in the age of digitalisation and artificial intelligence. Mr. Vollmer comes to TÜV SÜD from Accenture, where he was most recently responsible for leading the firm’s global Industrials business, shaping strategy for clients in Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, and Transport & Logistics. His previous roles focused on helping companies transform their business models through digitalization and new technologies.

With this leadership change, TÜV SÜD is poised to build upon its foundation of technological expertise while driving its mission for safe and sustainable innovation into the next era of industrial advancement.
