September 2026 : India’s electronics manufacturing landscape is taking a major leap forward. Avalon Technologies Limited has joined hands with Europe’s leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, Zollner Elektronik AG, to establish a strategic Joint Venture (JV) dedicated to PCBA, box-build, and system integration manufacturing in India.

The partnership pairs Avalon’s deep-rooted manufacturing capabilities and local supply chain strength with Zollner’s 60-plus years of engineering mastery and global customer reach. Together, the two companies plan to build a differentiated manufacturing platform aimed at serving high-reliability sectors, including Healthcare & Life Sciences, Test & Measurement, Rail, and key Industrial verticals.

Under the arrangement, Zollner will initially hold a 51% stake to guide early operations, while Avalon holds 49%. However, three years after commercial production begins, Avalon holds an option to acquire an additional 2% stake - shifting majority ownership (51%) to Avalon as the business matures.

The JV will initially focus on localized manufacturing for global customers' Indian operations. Additionally, Avalon will act as a key supplier for cable wiring, magnetics, plastics, sheet metal, and machining - creating a sustainable, recurring revenue stream.
